Joey Robaina, MDSports Medicine

Dr. Jose "Joey" Robaina is a board-eligible orthopaedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in sports medicine. A proud military veteran, Dr. Robaina has cared for athletes at all levels, from high school competitors to professional athletes, and is dedicated to helping patients recover from injuries and return to the activities they love. He speaks Spanish and is committed to providing personalized, high-quality care to the community.
Dr. Robaina has published peer-reviewed articles in leading medical journals on sports injuries of the knee and shoulder, as well as trauma involving both the upper and lower extremities. After graduating from medical school in Texas and completing his orthopaedic residency in Arizona, he pursued a sports medicine fellowship in Florida, where he focused on arthroscopic injuries of the knee and shoulder, joint replacements, and trauma care. He then returned to Southern California to be near family and to serve the local community, with a clinical focus on sports injuries, joint preservation, arthroscopic surgery, joint replacements, and fracture care.
Outside of work, Dr. Robaina enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing beach volleyball, and exploring all that the area has to offer.
